Easy Nail Art

While we could talk about nail polish racks and storage till we are blue in the face, we do have other interests! Nail art can be a fun thing to do not only by your self but with friends. The great thing about it is you do not have to be an artist to create something cool and original. A simple pattern can be a real easy and perfect statement on your nails. In fact it is better to keep it simple. An example of easy nail art would be a simple line or to at an angle across the nail in a different color.

There are plenty of things you can do from basic little tricks to serious business. A simple idea that anyone can do is painting half your nail one color and the other side another shade of that color, or two toned nails. It will give an interesting effect and probably make people double take when looking at your nails if you use shades that are very similar to each other.

Other things like a pattern of dots, some glitter, stripes, or even some decals that you can easily find at many stores with nail polish accessories. Just don’t try to hard as a very basic pattern that is repeated on all the nails immediately gives you a creative look. It’s like watching one person dance a routine vs 10 people doing the same dance at the same time. Since it’s all alike there is something immediately impressive.

Some basic tips when taking a shot your self at some easy nail art are:

Well first you need some tools to accomplish this. While you can find nail art brushes specifically for this, a simple small paint brush will do just fine as long as it is nice a small with a fine tip.

Having a nice light nail polish versus something real thick would be ideal. It makes it easier to paint on than something that just globs on. Whatever brand you prefer is fine. Opi and Creative Nail Designs are very nice.

The same basic procedures apply such as a base coat even if you are not putting a coat of nail polish on before you start your art. Remember, you’re still putting on nail polish and you don’t want it to stain. Also, remember to use a topcoat to seal your design.

If you are afraid to practice on your own nails, you can always buy a set of fakes to have your first go at it.

Don’t use too much nail polish when doing your design. If you are doing big dots that’s not a big deal but it is easier to get a fine detail if you are using a thin coat.

Now there are a ton of resources out there with step by step guides of how to do a certain style. Search things like youtube for all the videos you will ever need.
