When your collection of nail polish starts to overtake all of the counters in the bathroom and your dresser and even all around your computer desktop, it might be time to do something about it. A nail polish holder might be exactly what you have needed all this time. This also goes for anyone out there who is living with someone that has a nail polish collection that is overtaking not only your space but your life! It would make a great gift and possibly avoid a future fight with that person if you were to get them a nail polish holder.

It’s pretty easy to find a nail polish holder that will fit the needs of you or the one you are shopping for. A common organizer available generally comes in a tier layout of drawers. They will come in a clear plastic so you can visually see what is in each section without having to open each drawer which can end up being a real pain and almost defeating the purpose. The material is usually a clear acrylic that will not only let you find your polish but will be very sturdy so you can have a long lasting nail polish holder. No one wants a weak piece of junk that breaks soon after.

A nail polish holder is not just limited to the simple drawer tower design. You can also look into a nail polish display rack. This type of design is best for those who might not have too many nail polishes but would still like to not only get organized, but be able to have access to their nail polish quickly and easily. These do not consist of drawers or generally any moving parts, it’s an open style organizer with several spots for nail polish just like you would see in a display rack at the store. You could also purchase a tower drawer design to store all your nail polish and then have a nail polish rack out in order to have your top picks out and available for you at all times. This will also give you the ability to change around your rack of top picks with your other large nail polish holder. Replacing as needed and as the seasons changed. This is the most efficient way, but not everyone needs that much organization and or availability with their nail polish. To each their own!

A few choices on these kinds of products are these:

Aluminum Makeup Case W/ Dividers

Now this is for your all in one makeup case for not only nail polish but everything else you would need. This is more of an on the go case and can be filled to the brim with just nail polish if that’s what you wish!

Acrylic Drawer Tower Organizer

This is a great and very tall nail polish holder with 10 drawers stacked on one another with a slim design perfect for holding all the nail polish you will ever need. Its clear design will make for an easy job when trying to find the polish you need.

4-Drawer Acrylic Organizer

If you don’t need a gigantic tower for your nail polish but still want all your colors in one place, this great little 4 drawer tier set will really do the job.

Debra Lynn Professional Nail Polish Rack

This is more for those who want their nail polish to be organized but also on display and ready to go in an instant. This way you don’t have to mess with drawers or looking all about, you can easily setup your nail polish rack anyway you need and have your nail arsenal prepped and ready.

Nail polish collections and makeup in general can get out of hand. Having some kind of Nail Polish Organizer will really be helpful in keeping not only your nail polish in order but keeping your counter tops and makeup work space clear.

Depending on your needs, there should be something for everyone out there. One tip I can give is you obviously do not need a nail polish organizer specifically. Many different types of containers will do just fine. Something like the container store offers several different clear organizers. Look at something like clear shoe boxes or shoe organizers. This way you should be able to pick up as many as you need and they should all stack.

Another thing is some people actually do not want a “clear” nail polish organizer. In that case you might want to look at something sort of like a small file cabinet. Look at Ikea for a drawer unit and they usually have several things listed that might be to your liking. With something like the Helmer Drawer unit, you can easily fit 400+ nail polishes into it. Like I said, you do not need to look up something made specifically for makeup collections or nail polish collections. You might even be able to find something cheaper this way.

Now if you are looking for an organizer such as something in a tray unit that holds each nail polish separately, it would be much more helpful to look up nail polish organizers. These will be made for nail polish and sized just right.

Here are a few of our choices

Debra Lynn Professional Nail Polish Rack

Five tier rack that can be used to display at least 50 bottles of nail polish

Made from strong durable acrylic.

Solid design, clear acrylic, long life with appropriate use.

KAYLINE Modular Manicure System 38 Nail Polish Organizer

Unlimited Flexibility!

This system adapts to all salon areas, large or small.

Select just the right pieces to enhance your own reception, manicure, hair styling and spa areas.

It’s exactly as it looks. If you need an organizer for your nail polish, that’s exactly what you get! It fits all types of bottles and is highly recommended for anyone who wants to display your nail polish collection easily.

Nail Polish & Cosmetic Organizer in Acrylic

Sort of an all in one if you are looking for more than just a Nail Polish Organizer

Has 25 compartments for individual storage to hold all of your makeup in one organizer

Strong, durable acrylic is clear and is easy to clean

Two tall, large compartments for bottles and brushes

16 Individual slots for lipstick

4 large and medium compartments, and one large compartment for your mascara.

Sorting out your nail polish is one thing, but putting them on display is another. A Nail Polish Display Rack is something that will “show off” your nail polish collection a bit more than a nail polish holder or any regular storage unit would. The idea is to have some place to put your nail polish but also have them out for everyone to see. Nothing wrong with being proud of your nail polish collection!

In the past, nail polish colors were limited and everyone had the same basic selection. With the popularity of nail polish and other cosmetics booming, there has been a surge in recent years of nail polish. Now you can get just about any color combination known to man as well as different styles and shades of those colors. If you have seen a color out there you like, chances are it exists in nail polish somewhere. And if you are like many of us, you can not help but to buy a nail polish color here and there. Eventually you begin to amass a large collection that would rival any local drug store. T’s at this point that many people start to think about a nail polish organizer of some sort. This way you can have all of them in one place to easily find certain ones rather than desperately searching through the hordes of tiny little bottles.

The difference here in having a nail polish display is you might want to have a certain set or 2 of nail polish out and ready to go if you use them a lot. On top of that you might want to show off a bit of your collection to friends and whoever. There are nail polish displays that can hold anywhere from a dozen or so to several dozen. It depends on what you are looking for. I would suggest for those out there to find a nice Nail Polish Organizer. Something like an acrylic drawer tower, basically a several tier drawer unit that you can easily separate your colors and have them all in one place. These can be a few drawers to several and many of them can be stacked upon one another so you can have it as high as you like. Once you have your organizer, you can look into a Nail Polish Display, this way you can have all of your nail polishes in storage and have a selection of often used nail polishes in your display. As the year goes on you can rotate out the ones you are sick of or don’t like wearing during certain seasons.

If you are looking specifically for a Nail Polish Display and don’t know where to begin, here are a few available designs that you should be able to find.

Kayline has a few small display trays out there that hold about 19 bottles and a larger one that is 38 bottles, this is nice if you have an area that you can set these up, it is small and low to the ground so not to worry about knocking it over. However, it will take up more surface area than a tiered design.

Top Performance has a few different stands that are more in a Tier design. One can be hung from a wall and the other is a stand that is great for maximizing space as it is a vertical tier design. However, the stand needs to be in an out of the way place as it is tall and not as sturdy as the other designs.

While we could talk about nail polish racks and storage till we are blue in the face, we do have other interests! Nail art can be a fun thing to do not only by your self but with friends. The great thing about it is you do not have to be an artist to create something cool and original. A simple pattern can be a real easy and perfect statement on your nails. In fact it is better to keep it simple. An example of easy nail art would be a simple line or to at an angle across the nail in a different color.

There are plenty of things you can do from basic little tricks to serious business. A simple idea that anyone can do is painting half your nail one color and the other side another shade of that color, or two toned nails. It will give an interesting effect and probably make people double take when looking at your nails if you use shades that are very similar to each other.

Other things like a pattern of dots, some glitter, stripes, or even some decals that you can easily find at many stores with nail polish accessories. Just don’t try to hard as a very basic pattern that is repeated on all the nails immediately gives you a creative look. It’s like watching one person dance a routine vs 10 people doing the same dance at the same time. Since it’s all alike there is something immediately impressive.

Some basic tips when taking a shot your self at some easy nail art are:

Well first you need some tools to accomplish this. While you can find nail art brushes specifically for this, a simple small paint brush will do just fine as long as it is nice a small with a fine tip.

Having a nice light nail polish versus something real thick would be ideal. It makes it easier to paint on than something that just globs on. Whatever brand you prefer is fine. Opi and Creative Nail Designs are very nice.

The same basic procedures apply such as a base coat even if you are not putting a coat of nail polish on before you start your art. Remember, you’re still putting on nail polish and you don’t want it to stain. Also, remember to use a topcoat to seal your design.

If you are afraid to practice on your own nails, you can always buy a set of fakes to have your first go at it.

Don’t use too much nail polish when doing your design. If you are doing big dots that’s not a big deal but it is easier to get a fine detail if you are using a thin coat.

Now there are a ton of resources out there with step by step guides of how to do a certain style. Search things like youtube for all the videos you will ever need.

Other places like
http://kookynails.tripod.com/id5.html - A bit old but a very nice and easy step by step guide for some beginner designs.

http://my.coolnailsart.com/ – a large site dedicated to custom nails with some outrageous designs for those who want to go all out.

It’s not a very common thing to see a nail polish wall rack in someone’s home. Most people will go with other storage options like a nail polish holder and or other nail polish storage options. However, we are all different beings and maybe this is something you want. Not all of us have a lot counter space even for a storage unit of some sort. So if you have to resort to other means of nail polish organization and have a few wall spaces open, there is the option of a nail polish wall rack.

Typically, these are found in businesses and salons. They are more for displaying the nail polish then storing, but there is now reason you can not use it however you please! It can even be a bit of a discussion point if someone notices a rack of nail polish. Shoe your commitment to your nails by displaying the polish on a rack on the wall, why not? Haha.

One thing you might notice is these are not widely distributed. Not many people go past the options of a multiple tiered acrylic container or a display rack of some kind. is a bit limited in their selection, as of writing this I only see one worth mentioning, the Metal Nail Polish Wall Rack (90 bottles). Others have stated they have found some they like through ebay. If you want it bad enough it can be found.

One thing I have notice also is that people have substituted certain spice racks for their nail polish. There are many spice racks that don’t look to bad doubling as a nail polish wall rack as long as it doesn’t say “SPICES” across the top or something completely obvious. In fact you can find some very interesting spice racks that will actually compliment your nail polish. Most wall racks specified for nail polish are very plain and generally either a wire rack or a clear acrylic. If that bothers you check out some of the larger spice racks that don’t have any writing on them and you might find a gem in there that fits your taste.

The only other advice I can give is be careful when you install it in your wall if you are not sure what you are doing. A large nail polish wall rack with a full set of nail polish is actually very heavy and if the rack is not installed on a stud or with drywall screws then it might not be as secure as you think, don’t lose all your nail polishes because of improper installation!

The accumulation of nail polish can make things a bit tricky if you are running out of counter space. You can easily find things for your nail polish in order to get some kind of organization with a nail polish holder or a nail polish rack. However, there may come a point when you need some serious help with your overflowing collection and or maybe you have a large amount of nail polish that you just don’t know what to do with. This is where nail polish storage comes into play.

After a while you may get sick of a nail polish. Sometimes we get a nail polish that looks good in the bottle but not on your finger. More often then not you can just get tired of a color thanks to a new set of colors that you like better. When you get to this point you are left with a large sum of nail polishes that you may never wear again, but don’t want to just throw away. Well then you should consider some kind of nail polish storage in order to get these out of sight and out of mind till the time comes that maybe, just maybe, you want to try them again or perhaps sell them and or give them away.

In the end, you could settle for a regular box to put them in and file them away wherever you please. But, it is wise to inform you that nail polish is best stored securely in a place that is cool. If you put these in a box and toss them in a garage, the summer heat will wreak havoc upon those nail polishes and with enough time, make them worthless.

The cheapest nail polish storage idea would be to seal them up in something, maybe place a bag at the bottom of a box and then stack them in, then seal the bag and put the box in the coolest storage area you have. Even in a cold area, time will eventually wear these away so if you don’t plan to do anything with these for years, you might want to think about just selling them or giving them to a friend. There are a lot of ladies out there that might just be beginning their nail polish journey that could use a collection to start with. Or even a youngster who is starting to want their nails painted. Keep all this in mind. After all you did pay for those nail polishes, best for them not to go to waste even if you have to give them away.

The use of a Nail Polish Rack has increased as of late. With all the new colors of nail polish that the industry keeps producing, it is becoming very hard to keep track of all of your colors. Where we once had only a few colors and shade we now have an endless amount of both, and the new colors just keep on coming. With this rejuvenation of the Nail Polish business, we are left with a mountain of nail polish sets and other gear that we don’t have anywhere to put.

As we recommend here, a nail polish holder should really be what you are looking into. There is nothing better out there with more space, organization, and the benefit of a clear organizer where you can easily look through your entire collection to find what you are looking for. However, to compliment all of these nail polishes, you also probably wouldn’t mind having something where you can display the top 10, 20, 30 or even more nail polishes that you are using at the current time. This is where a Nail Polish Rack comes in. With this, rather than putting your nail polish in a case and in a storage area, you are displaying them in a nice and neat rack where you can still have the nail polish out but not have them scattered all around.

Going with a Nail Polish Rack will really help you when trying to keep a small collection organized even if it is from the larger collection you have. The great thing is you are not limited to one style of rack. There are plenty of them from ones that only hold a few polishes to ones that could potentially hold them all and put them on display rather than out of site if that is what you wish. You actually see these racks on a daily basis in stores when you are looking at nail polish. They use the same kind of nail polish racks as display cases. You can easily have your own as many stores sell them or if you can not find exactly what you are looking for, online stores will certainly have it.

If you are going to be using a small collection of nail polish constantly, then it would be less hassle then having them all in one big nail polish holder where you are opening and closing the drawers every day. Have all your collection in the holder and then a few in the rack and that will really be all you need to organize your nail polish arsenal!
